PAINTINGS
I live in the East Riding of Yorkshire and have been watercolour painting and drawing for the past 20 years. I specialise in pet portraits and botanical art.
I have not had any formal training until recently and I successfully completed a distant learning course from the Society of Botanical Artists. Two of my paintings were accepted for display at their exhibition in London and I sold one of them.
I have had work accepted for the Ferens Winter Exhibition in Hull and for an exhibition organised by the Society of All Artists which was also held in London.
I have received commissions from family, friends and through recommendations. These have mainly been for pet portraits but I have completed paintings of landscapes, houses, farm animals, children and adults.
I strive to capture the likeness and character of the subjects that I am painting.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Photography is another real passion and my aim is to try to capture the excitement and beauty that I see before me and hope that it is evident the pictures that I take. I hope that you enjoy looking through my gallery.
